On June 10, 2025, the author who spread the charm of Lake Towada to the worldKeigetsu Omachi. In commemoration of Katsuragi, who was instrumental in the designation of Lake Towada as a national park and ended his life at Tsuta Onsen, the “Lake Towada Water Festival” will be held on June 14th (Saturday) and 15th (Sunday) this year, marking its 60th anniversary. Through this event, the Towada Lake Festival Cooperation Council and the Towada Oirase Tourism Organization (TOWADA TRAVEL) are working on preparations for the event in this memorable year, with the hope that this event will help many people learn about the beauty of Lake Towada that has remained unchanged even over 100 years since Keigetsu Omachi’s first visit. This year, participants will be able to create a fantastic night view using balloon lanterns and message fireworks filled with wishes, and we will also have content such as a night cruise where you can view the lanterns and fireworks from the lake. At the finale of each day, fireworks are set off in time with music. In preparation for this event, we are currently accepting applications for performances, and will begin accepting applications for sponsorship and food and beverage stalls from May onwards. Applications for paid content will be accepted online from Wednesday, May 7th.
