In order to express our gratitude for the support we have received from our customers and the local community since our founding in 1955, we will be running a limited accommodation plan and SNS campaign from June 1, 2025 (Sunday) to April 30, 2026 (Thursday) under the theme of “70 years of gratitude, hospitality that colors the future.” This is a special period where you can experience the seasons of Nishiura (scenery, taste, healing, entertainment, and listening) with all five senses. We have also released a 70th anniversary commemorative website, introducing limited projects and the history of Ginpaso. Please enjoy the present and future of Ginpaso on our website and SNS. At “Shunkei Dining Ao -AO-” and other places, you can enjoy sake in this sake vessel. Experience the sparkle on the surface created using a unique method and the mellow taste unique to tin, expressing the memories of Ginpaso and gratitude for the 70th anniversary. From a “Shogi Inn” to a “Regular Inn” ─ Ginpaso’s history of preserving tradition and continuing to evolve Ginpaso opened in 1955 and has undergone many changes with the changing times. Although we suffered severe damage from the Ise Bay Typhoon in 1959, we were able to rebuild with the great support of our business partners at the time. It is loved by fans as a “shogi inn,” and since 1966, master Yasuharu Oyama, 9-dan Hifumi Kato, Yoshiharu Hanyu 9-dan, and others have visited, and 93 games have been played so far. It has also been selected as the venue for the 6th game of the 83rd Meijin Tournament, which is currently being held. A “Shogi Road” has been set up along the walkway inside the building, and visitors can get a glimpse of its history by displaying photographs, game records, and images of people playing games, which is the origin of Ginpaso’s hospitality.

In 2023, some of the guest rooms will be renovated into offices and we will begin inviting companies to work in response to new ways of working. In 2024, the large public bath will be boldly renovated into a cafe called “Onsen Cafe si no no me.” Additionally, the store has been renovated into a select shop stocked with local specialties. Currently, we are developing a cafe menu that incorporates the charms of Gamagori and Mikawa, select products, and pop-up projects in the lobby, as well as “creating a space where you can both refresh and work” by taking advantage of the hot springs and spectacular views. We continue to evolve into a “commutable inn” that not only stays overnight, but also welcomes day-trippers. From now on, Ginpaso will continue to work together with the community while valuing the voices of our customers.
