This is a popular event with approximately 2,000 participants each year, mainly families. This is the 7th time the event has been held, and this time it is packed with plans. The Yayoi period people lived in symbiosis with the Jomon people by hunting and gathering, so this was the first time that the Yayoi Club had hand-made a bow and arrow to shoot a bow at targets depicting animals. We hold picture-story shows and talk shows where you can learn about housing and life in a restored pit dwelling from the Yayoi period. There are also many other fun projects such as making shimenawa ropes using ancient rice, making handmade Christmas wreaths using natural materials such as kudzu vines, wild roses, and pine cones, and a play park where you can play with stilts and monkey ropes. Please come and visit us with your whole family.
