Design In addition to the main concept of “Products that catch your eye. A step forward from Haneda,” we designed our products with the keywords “Three Entrances” and “Bridge” in mind. We consider these three elements to be an “entrance” and have adopted a design reminiscent of a torii gate: “From the world to Japan” due to our location at Haneda Airport, “fair trade” when you pick up our products, and the “torii gate” which is the entrance to the local symbol “Anamori Inari”. Furthermore, we aimed to create a product that could serve as a “bridge” connecting “people to people,” “people and fair trade,” and “India and Japan.” We put these thoughts into each of our products.

Eye-catching design, practical functionality, and quality in everyday life. In addition to pursuing such “attractiveness as a product,” we gently incorporate the value of fair trade into our products. Even people who are not interested in fair trade will naturally find something that will reach them. First of all, have them use it, and then have them realize that it was actually a fair trade. We hope that such a “serendipitous encounter” will spark new interest and action in those who pick up this book. From the location of Haneda, this product “will be the first step towards fair trade for as many people as possible.” With this in mind, we developed this product. We will utilize this practical learning in our future seminar research, and aim to engage in activities that can contribute to society from a broader perspective, while valuing connections not only with Japan but with the world. Project Leader Miwa Shimura, 4th year, Department of International Economics, Faculty of Economics, Toyo University At our museum, we have been engaged in activities to spread awareness of fair trade, such as planning and selling accommodation plans where you can experience and taste internationally certified fair trade products, and holding fairs and events at our restaurants. We will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society and communicate the charm of the region. About the “International Fair Trade Certification Label” It was created with the aim of spreading the word about fair trade by setting clear standards for fair trade, attaching labels to products that comply with these standards, and communicating the information in an easy-to-understand manner. This certification certifies that the international fair trade standards set by the International Fair Trade Labeling Organization are complied with in each process, from the production of raw materials through the import/export and
manufacturing processes to the final product as a “Fair Trade Certified Product.” “Fairtrade Japan” official website
