(Headquarters: Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, President: Hidehiro Mizukami) will operate the reserved seat train “Night Hydrangea” for 17 days from Saturday, June 14, 2025 to Monday, June 30, 2025. At this time of year, the mountain train is nicknamed the “Hydrangea Train” because it travels through approximately 7,000 hydrangeas that are in full bloom, so much so that you can almost touch the train windows, and the hydrangeas are illuminated at night. The “Night Hydrangea Train” is a sightseeing train where you can enjoy the magical night hydrangeas illuminated by light. The train travels slowly and repeatedly stops at the hydrangea viewing spots, allowing you to relax and enjoy the hydrangeas along the line from inside the train, where all seats are reserved. This year’s “Night Hydrangea” will be operated by the “Allegra”, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last November. The illumination of hydrangeas along the railway line will be held from June 13th (Friday) to June 30th (Monday). The illuminated hydrangeas can also be seen from regular trains.
