In 2025, the festival will be held for two days, on Wednesday, November 5th and Thursday, November 6th. The Khom Loi Festival is world famous, and every year the tickets sell out immediately, making it difficult to secure hotel and airfare. This time, Nishitetsu Travel was able to secure a rare official ticket, so we planned a tour departing from Japan on Thursday, November 6th to participate in the festival. This is a rare opportunity to see the spectacular view that many people say they want to see at least once in their lifetime. A tour conductor will accompany you from the time you leave Fukuoka Airport until you return, and a Japanese guide will accompany you in Chiang Mai. The area around the festival will be very crowded before and after the festival, but you can participate with peace of mind as we will provide a shuttle service exclusively for Nishitetsu Travel customers. The tour includes two lanterns per person, a lantern floating experience, and food and drink at the venue, so please enjoy the festival to the fullest on the day. Accommodation will be at the four-star (according to our standards) “Centara Riverside Hotel Chiang Mai”, and you will spend three relaxing nights in the ancient capital of Chiang Mai. There’s plenty to do in Chiang Mai, including watching the elephant show at the elephant camp and riding an elephant, visiting a long-neck village, and strolling through the miscellaneous goods street.
