In the Tea Lounge, which overlooks the ancient city of Nara in all four seasons, you can enjoy a wide variety of drinks, including aromatic original coffee and tea from Ronnefeldt, a long-established German tea manufacturer, along with seasonal sweets made by our pastry chefs. This summer, we have arranged the “Tiramisu”, which is characterized by its cool and mature taste, into “Matcha Tiramisu”, which is appropriate for the Nara Hotel, which has a Japanese-Western motif, and created a summery dish with beautiful layers of tiramisu that are a feast for the eyes. The base of the tiramisu is made with smooth mascarpone cheese and generous amounts of matcha from “Tea Farm Inokura” in Tsukigase, Nara City, in pursuit of an adult taste. The umami and elegant astringency of matcha bring out the bitterness of the tiramisu, allowing you to enjoy a perfect balance between Japanese and Western flavors.
