Approximately 300,000 glittering lights decorate Okinawa’s winter, creating a fantastic world that combines resort and illumination. To kick off the event, we held an illumination lighting ceremony on the first day, the 16th (Saturday), inviting a total of 800 special guests and popular artists. Additionally, during the illumination period, we will be holding an Instagram photo contest where you can win gorgeous prizes every month to commemorate the lighting of the illuminations.

On the day of the event, a total of 800 guests, including hotel guests and 200 out-of-town guests who were selected from over 2,000 applications, experienced Okinawa’s new entertainment. After the countdown, approximately 300,000 lights flashed all at once, revealing the fantastic Ryukyu Castle, and the venue was filled with cheers and cries of wonder. In the second half of the lighting ceremony, a special live performance by popular artist Akira Ikuma was held. They performed “Dynamic Ryukyu,” a
collaboration between the Eisa troupe and hula dance, and excited the venue with a powerful Okinawan performance. At the finale, fireworks lit up the night sky, creating a gorgeous night scene in Okinawa.
