Karasuga on the south side of Mt. Daisen, a famous mountain in Tottori Prefecture. The ski resort will open for this season from 13:00 on Saturday, December 21st. It boasts some of the highest quality and amount of snow in Western Japan, and has one of the longest skiable periods until late March. You can enjoy skiing while looking out over Mt. Karasuga, known as the Matterhorn in the San’in area. On the day of the event, the lift will be free of charge. ◆Kyukamura Okudaisen Kagamigaari Ski Resort Overview The slope has a maximum slope of 20 degrees, a running distance of 180m, and is a family slope with one pair lift. The gentle slopes that even beginners can enjoy are recommended for children making their ski debut. You can also enjoy snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the vast park.
