Press release: March 24, 2025 [Kobe Portopia Hotel Initiatives] ~The day when the world shines blue~ Light It Up Blue (LIUB) 2025 [April 2nd to 8th] Kobe Portopia Hotel Co., Ltd. (Chuo-ku, Kobe City, General Manager Tsuyoshi Ito) will sponsor the “Light It Up Blue (LIUB) 2025” awareness campaign for 7 days from April 2 (Wednesday) to April 8 (Tuesday), 2025 (sponsored by the Light It Up Blue Japan 2025 Executive Committee).

In Japan, April 2nd to 8th is designated as “Developmental Disabilities Awareness Week,” calling for understanding of
developmental disorders such as ASD (autism spectrum disorder) and support for realizing a cohesive society. During this period, the “Light It Up Blue” campaign is being held to light up landmarks and public facilities around the world in blue, and is now an
international awareness campaign with over 172 countries
participating. Kobe Portopia Hotel has supported this campaign every year since 2016, contributing to promoting understanding of
developmental disabilities. This year as well, we will continue to promote awareness-raising activities through blue illumination in the hope of realizing a society where everyone can live in peace. About light-up “Blue Action” will be held at two locations: “Rooftop Terrace Sorahne Kobe,” an observation facility on the rooftop of the main hotel building, and the main lobby on the 1st floor of the main building. The lights will be fixed in “blue” light, which is said to calm people with ASD, and we will call for widespread awareness and understanding of developmental disorders such as ASD.
