With thoughts of the autumn harvest moon. ～ Jozankei, an inn that preserves hot springs and Japanese culture From August 26th to October 31st, 2025, Shikanoyu Hanamomiji will be holding its first “Moon Viewing Wishes” event, where visitors can write their wishes on round pieces of paper and decorate them. Colorful moon viewing decorations will brighten up the autumn nights of Jozankei National Park.

Circular pieces of paper with wishes written on them for yourself or a loved one will be hung in a special venue within the museum. The paper comes in two colors: yellow, which evokes the full moon, and white, which evokes moon viewing dumplings. Feel free to write as many wishes on as you like on the strips of paper. Anyone can enjoy this event for free, including guests staying at the inn, day visitors, and those visiting
specifically for this event. Your precious strips of paper with your wishes written on them will be collected regularly and offered to the shrine after the event.

We inherit Japanese culture, enjoy it with everyone, regardless of nationality or generation, and pass on our thoughts to the next generation.
