About the public bath Shika-no-yu There is a hot spring in this area that is so famous that wild deer can bathe in it to heal their wounds. “Shika no Yu”, named by Michitoshi Iwamura, the first commissioner of the Hokkaido Agency, is the only hot spring in Jozankei with its own unique name. You can enjoy the famous hot spring water that continues to gush out from directly below the large public bath along the Toyohira River in a prime location in Jozankei, in three different bathtubs.
