The label features the “IMABARI ORGANIC” mark, which is used as the logo for the project promoting organic farming in Imabari City. The raw material is organic lemons grown by Seiko Farm, which has been producing citrus fruits grown in safe and secure soil without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers for over 20 years. Among them, by utilizing the juice of non-standard lemons that are not distributed on the market, we are making full use of local resources and contributing to reducing food waste. In addition, BTF, a brewery brand that faces the reduction of food waste through craft beer brewing, also sympathized with this project, and we completed it through trial and error to ensure that both parties were satisfied with the quality. Through the planning and sales of “IMABARI Lemon Beer”, we hope to convey the appeal of Imabari City and the importance of organic farming to more people, contribute to revitalizing the local socio-economy, and advance efforts that will lead to the achievement of the SDGs.
