This plan offers a new charm of Hakone to domestic and international tourists through a “Hakone-like experience” where you can casually enjoy geisha culture.
■Plan Overview This plan was created in collaboration with Geisha Cafe Bar Hana, a new and popular facility that opened in January 2025 at Yumoto Kenban in Hakone Yumoto. In addition to accommodation, the plan includes a seat charge (for one person) and one drink ticket at Geisha Cafe Bar Hana, allowing you to enjoy the hospitality and conversation of active geishas in a casual cafe-style setting. You can stop by after dinner and enjoy a drink, or if you have booked a plan without dinner, we recommend stopping by after touring the restaurants in Hakone Yumoto. Light meals are also available in the cafe bar, so you can relax and have a meal. We propose this as a new way to spend the night on your trip to Hakone, as an opportunity to experience geisha culture and enjoy it for a wide range of people, from first-time visitors to Hakone, to repeat visitors and overseas customers. ■About “Geisha Cafe Bar Hana” “Geisha Cafe Bar Hana” is a new cultural experience facility organized by the Hakone Yumoto Entertainment Association, and is a rare attempt in Japan where Hakone geisha serve customers on a daily basis. The store is equipped with a bar counter, table seats, and a raised tatami mat area, and you can enjoy local ingredients and special drinks such as the “Geisha Kenban Blend” in a gorgeous space with dance videos projected on a projector. The price range is set reasonably for young people, inbound travelers, and female groups who have had limited opportunities to experience geisha culture until now. It is a space that combines tradition and innovation, and truly feels like “the Hakone of today.”
