Ibuki”” on Friday, July 18, 2025. This time, as a new series of seasonal trips, we have planned a summer day trip plan where you can walk through the great outdoors of mountains, waterfalls, and forests in search of heart-shaking scenery and coolness. A three-part series is planned, and the first part will involve climbing Mt. Ibuki, Omi’s magnificent peak (altitude 1,377m), and enjoying the spectacular view of the majestic Lake Biwa and the fields of pretty alpine plants blooming below. Explanations about alpine plants by expert guides and the cool breeze at the top, which has an average temperature difference of 10 degrees Celsius compared to the base, will make your early summer light mountain climbing even more enjoyable. The climbing route is approximately 2,000m round trip with an elevation difference of approximately 100m, and is expected to take approximately 120 minutes. After descending the mountain, you can enjoy a “Masu Kaiseki” meal and enjoy viewing plum blossom algae at “Samei-juku,” a post town on the old Nakasendo. Reminiscing about the summer constellations and the legend of Tanabata, we will visit shrines and temples that are deeply connected to ancient Japanese star worship and ancient astronomy, such as Kibune Shrine, which has a beautiful Tanabata bamboo-decorated precinct, and Nose Myoken, a sacred site of the Nichiren sect, known as a sacred place for worshiping the North Star. ■Accommodation Plan 2.
