This is a craft tourism project where you can enjoy making things while traveling, with the instructor Yoko Toyomane, a writer living in Hakone Sengokuhara (owner of a porcelain overpainting salon). With the slogan “art that blooms in the palm of your hand,” we invite you to create a one-of-a-kind vessel for the world you encounter through drawing. “China painting” is a porcelain painting technique that originated in Europe, in which flowers, fruits, etc. are drawn on white porcelain using special paints, and the designs are fixed in an electric furnace at approximately 800 degrees Celsius. In this workshop, which will be held for the first time this year, participants will enjoy drawing on white porcelain (small plates) as a canvas, with the motif of the pretty flower “Bleuet” under the guidance of the instructor. After the completed work is fired, it will be delivered to your home, so you can enjoy even more memories of your trip. We will continue to propose ways to enjoy traveling through art.
