Press release: May 15, 2025 In Ayabe City, Kyoto Prefecture, the capital of silkworms, Gunze Museum will hold a mini ukiyo-e exhibition and Okaiko-san Festival from May 17th with the theme of “touch experience, memories of sericulture” Gunze Museum, located in Ayabe City, Kyoto Prefecture, where Gunze Co., Ltd. was founded, will be holding the “Gunze Mini Ukiyo-e Exhibition” and “Okaiko-san Festival” from May 17th under the theme of “Touch Experience, Memories of Sericulture” in cooperation with Serito Grants, a local organization for people with mental and developmental disabilities. This time, we have prepared related art exhibitions and workshops so that you can learn about sericulture and its history through hands-on experiences. Enjoy experiencing the history of sericulture at Silkworm City Ayabe.
