(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yukio Arai) is pleased to announce that the Sapporo Park Hotel (Chuo-ku, Sapporo), which has been a beloved hotel for many years, will close on Sunday, February 28, 2027 in order to advance its reconstruction plans. “Sapporo Park Hotel” opened as an international city resort hotel that fully incorporates the greenery of Nakajima Park, an oasis for Sapporo residents. The hotel has a history and tradition of hosting members of the imperial family, as well as many distinguished guests and important people from around the world, and has earned high support from its guests. Furthermore, as a social venue and convention hotel in the international city of Sapporo, it has achieved numerous accomplishments in response to this age of globalization, and has been designated as the facility for many international conferences and conventions, including serving as the IOC headquarters hotel for the Sapporo Winter Olympics in 1972, the JCI (Junior Chamber
International) World Congress in 2000, and the United Nations Asian Conference on Disarmament. Opened in July 1964 as “Sapporo Hotel Sanai”, and since May 1966 as “Sapporo Park Hotel”, we have continued to operate for over 60 years, supported by many customers including the local community. In order to further develop the northern capital of Sapporo, we have decided to proceed with the reconstruction plan and close the business of “Sapporo Park Hotel”. Until our closing date on February 28, 2027, we will continue to improve our hospitality and cuisine to make our guests more enjoyable, and we will also be planning events to express our gratitude to all our patronage.
