Parks Foundation Japan.F Press release: July 2, 2025 To members of the press Get ready for a soaking wet summer vacation! “Summer Alps Adventure” held | National Alps Azumino Park [Omachi/Matsukawa area] Let’s play in the pure stream of the Northern Alps, “Nyuugawa”! The National Alps Azumino Park [Omachi/Matsukawa area] will be holding the “Summer Alps Adventure” from July 19th (Sat) to August 31st (Sun). In addition to enjoying swimming in the clear stream of the Northern Alps, “Nyukawa”, a large wading pool will be set up in the Alps Grassland. In addition to various activities, there will also be programs that will help you with your summer vacation independent research and crafts. You can spend the best summer vacation in the rich nature of Shinshu.

The water in the river is cold and crystal clear even in summer. It is an oasis within the park where you can experience the natural “coolness” of a cool breeze. During the period, security guards will be on duty, and temporary foot washing areas, toilets, and changing rooms will also be installed. You can enjoy playing in the river with peace of mind. ■Event date: July 19th (Sat) – August 31st (Sun) *Cancelled in case of rain or high water ■Location/Riverside plaza (below the Daido Shimo-dam)
■Time/10:00-16:00 ■Participation fee/Free (separate admission fee required) *Elementary school students and younger must be accompanied by a guardian. *Pets are not allowed in the Chichigawa River. *To protect your feet, you must wear footwear with closed toes and heels, such as water shoes. *Props such as swim rings and water guns are prohibited. *Only on the day of the event, the road train route will change to via “Kawahan Hiroba”. Limited time only! Large water play pool “Splash Land” The water play pool “Splash Land” will be available for a limited time on the Alpine Grassland. The pool is 96 square meters in size, 8 meters long and 12 meters wide. A small pool that can be used with swim diapers is also available. The popular “Soaking Time” is a cool-down event that blows away the heat, where seven sprinklers rotate and spray water all at once.
