Fujitex Press release: January 28, 2025 Fujitex | Exhibited at the International Hotel and Restaurant Show – Japan’s smallest cell-type linen factory to alleviate concerns about linen supply due to increase in inbound tourists Fujitex Co., Ltd. (Nakano-ku, Tokyo, President: Yusuke Kazumori) will be hosting the “International Hotel and Restaurant Show” to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from February 4th (Tuesday) to February 7th (Friday), 2025. We will exhibit at Exhibition contents At this exhibition, we will give a detailed presentation about Japan’s smallest linen factory. Background of the exhibition Currently, the number of linen suppliers in the local hotel industry and nursing care facilities is decreasing due to a labor shortage, resulting in a shortage of linen. Increasingly, we are forced to outsource to distant factories, and the further rise in costs is putting pressure on management. In order to cope with the shortage of linen supply, we propose in-house production of linen factories. Japan’s smallest full-spec linen factory Our linen factory using the cell method reduces the space required for a linen factory, which previously required more than 1,000 tsubo, to approximately 65 tsubo. This facility is the smallest full-spec linen factory in Japan and can process linen for 800 beds every day. Improve productivity with the latest equipment and know-how With the world’s first “tumble flow” technology that prevents linen from getting tangled, the latest equipment and improved work efficiency are expected to lead to unprecedented factory labor savings and productivity improvements. Eliminate supply concerns by in-house linen production Compared to conventional linen factories, cell-type linen factories can be manufactured in-house at a lower cost and in less space. In-house production of linen at our linen factory eliminates linen supply concerns. Our company provides one-stop support from linen factory equipment installation to factory design and operation training. Image
