Press release: March 6, 2025 A campsite for beginners has opened in Yunessun, fully equipped with everything from tents to sleeping bags and tableware, “Camp & Spa Yamanone” Grand opening in April 2025 Hakone Kowakien Yunessun (Location: 1297 Ninotaira, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture, Manager: Motonobu Matsuyama, hereafter referred to as Yunessun) is an outdoor experience facility “Camp & Spa” for those who have never experienced camping, on idle land in the second parking lot, about a 5-minute walk from Yunessun. Yama no Oto” (hereinafter referred to as “Yama no Oto”) will open in April. Although it is said that camping has passed its temporary boom, there is still a steady demand for it because it allows you to experience nature that is hard to get in everyday life. Over 5,000 campgrounds nationwide are registered on Nappu, one of Japan’s largest campsite reservation sites, and you can choose your favorite camping experience from a variety of situations, from environments such as mountains, oceans, and grasslands to luxury glamping that feels like hotel life. “Yama no Oto” is designed to be more than a camping site but less than a glamping site, with tents and tarps from the camper’s coveted brand “Ogawa” set up in advance on a spacious site with each section measuring over 100 square meters. We have all the necessary camping equipment such as sleeping bags and other bedding, tables, chairs, barbecue grills, fire pits, tableware, etc., so even those who are new to camping can enjoy it easily. You are free to bring your own food, and we can also prepare barbecue food if you make a reservation in advance. A fluffy ground mat is spread inside the tent, a hot carpet is installed in the cold season, and a cooling fan is installed in the hot season to provide a comfortable stay environment. We also provide the charcoal needed for barbecues and a two-burner (gas stove) that is convenient for breakfast, as well as a set of firewood for the bonfire that is essential for camping. “Yama no Oto” is also an auxiliary facility of Yunessun, and during your stay, you can enter as many times as you like in the hot spring “Yunesun” where you can play in a swimsuit and the authentic day trip hot spring “Mori no Yu”. Additionally, in Hakone, which is close to the Tokyo metropolitan area, there are fewer campgrounds than inns and hotels (there are 10 registered with Nappu), and facilities where you can casually experience camping without bringing anything are even more limited. It is also ideal as a simple lodging facility for camping beginners who are interested in camping but find it difficult to gather all the camping gear, who just want to experience the outdoor atmosphere, and who want to stay overnight at Yunessun at a reasonable price.
