Please note that this renovation is part of a hotel-wide renewal project that has been underway since 2023. Since the hotel opened in 2001, the sky banquet floor “Towers Salon” has been highly praised for its large panorama from the 39th floor, 145 meters above ground, high-quality food, and warm hospitality. Although the view from our windows has changed over the years, we have continued to provide smiles and unforgettable moments to many customers. In the 24 years since its opening, Shibuya has attracted a lot of attention as an inbound destination in recent years, and demand for not only personal travel but also MICE (*1) has increased significantly. In domestic corporate demand, demand for corporate events is also strong due to the increase in offices such as “Shibuya Sakura Stage (2024)” and “Shibuya AXSH (2024)”. In the wedding market, the number of brides and grooms who want a private atmosphere is on the rise, with the number of weddings becoming smaller due to the coronavirus pandemic, and there is a need for banquet spaces that can fulfill that desire. Therefore, we have decided to completely renovate the sky banquet floor “Towers Salon” for the first time since it opened in 2001, in order to evolve it into a space of higher quality and able to meet a wide range of diverse needs. For this renovation, the entire floor has been redesigned to embody the sky, including the “sun,” “moon,” and “sky” in line with the concept at the time of opening. In addition, by creating a unified design for the entire floor by placing new bar counters and curio cases (*3) in spaces outside the venue such as the foyer (*2) and hallways, we will create a space that can be used as an integrated floor by connecting each banquet room to meet the demands of MICE, corporate events, and weddings. The design will be handled by Ryu Kosaka, Chief Design Officer of Nomura Kogeisha Co., Ltd./Representative of A.N.D., who has a track record of designing hotels and restaurants around the world and has worked on renovating many of the restaurants at Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel. In addition to having the best view of Shibuya, the convenience of being a 5-minute walk from Shibuya Station, one of the world’s leading terminal stations, and high-quality food, we aim to create a luxurious guest facility that welcomes guests from all over the world by enhancing the design and creating a flexible space. *1 MICE: An acronym for Meeting, Incentive Travel, Convention, and Exhibition, a general term for business events. Design concept “Cerulean” in the hotel name comes from the blue sky color. The banquet rooms on the 39th floor were named Renard (Moon), Soler (Sun), and Celeste (Sky) after the sky, with the desire to be a base for international exchange that connects Japan and the world globally, just as people from all over the world share the sky. In order to embody the thoughts we had at the time of our opening, we will express the sparkle of the sun and moon through distinctive lighting and designs on the walls and ceiling.
