(location: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Yuto Ichinohe) has started a new initiative at its managed facility, BUB RESORT Chosei Village (location: Chosei Village, Chiba Prefecture), with the aim of creating opportunities for outdoor activities in the winter and promoting local tourism. Winter is a season when people tend to spend their time indoors, but in order to spread the word about the unique winter charm of Chiba Prefecture, which takes advantage of its warm climate, we have planned and produced the “Chiba Winter Experience Tourism Guide” in collaboration with 16 family-friendly facilities in the prefecture. This guide will feature special discounts and limited benefits for winter activities such as strawberry picking, harvesting, nature experiences, animal interactions, and shopping, and will be available until the end of April. Through this, we will work together as a community to spread the word about the appeal of Chiba Prefecture’s winter tourism, provide children with a variety of experience opportunities, and contribute to creating opportunities for families to make memories.

There are charms here that you don’t know about yet. The total number of tourists in Chiba Prefecture in 2023 was approximately 164.42 million, an increase of 19.4% from the previous year. (*1) Factors contributing to this significant increase include the influx of foreign tourists due to the weaker yen and the increase in the tourist population in the Urayasu area. In particular, the Urayasu area continues to have a major impact on the tourism market, with the number of visitors reaching approximately 27.51 million, accounting for approximately 16.7% of the prefecture’s total tourism inflow.

We believe it is important to widely disseminate the appeal of these tourism resources and encourage the regional dispersion of tourists, so we have produced a pamphlet introducing the appeal of winter tourism in Chiba Prefecture.
