Until now, birds have been moved from the Waterfowl Pond to another facility during the winter as a measure against highly pathogenic avian influenza. With the opening of this new area, we have created an environment where birds can spend the year freely and nest safely. By recreating an ecological environment closer to nature, we aim to naturally raise flamingos and white pelicans living in the area. In addition, recreating this ecological environment is a reconstruction of an environment where not only birds but also a variety of aquatic organisms can coexist, and it will also be a place where you can observe the “circulation system of life.” We will never forget the 69 lives lost to highly pathogenic avian influenza that occurred in the park in November 2023, and will continue to face and protect the lives of animals. All “life” lives in its own rhythm.
