(Representative: Hideoki Mochizuki) has been pleased with the popularity of the “Kamigoto 100 Views of Goto” tour, which takes in the scenery of Kamigoto depicted in Mr. Yamamoto’s “100 Views of Goto”, which was held this summer. In response to this, we will be offering a “Winter Kamigoto tour with all five senses” (land-based travel product). Mr. Fumi Yamamoto (1953-2023), who was born in Goto City, Nagasaki Prefecture, was the art director of numerous animated masterpieces such as “Laputa: Castle in the Sky,” “Grave of the Fireflies,” “Princess Mononoke,” and “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.” He has created landscape paintings that remain in the hearts of many people. This tour will take you through the three landscapes of Kamigoto depicted in “One Hundred Views of Goto,” a collection of his life’s work that he spent 10 years painting of his hometown, the Goto Islands.
