Itsuki Chaya will hold a reopening event on April 29th (Tuesday) ~From a base for sightseeing at historical sites to a hub for regional exchange~ The rest facility “Itsuki Chaya”, which Meiwa Kanko Trading Company (General Incorporated Association) was entrusted with designated management duties by Meiwa Town, Mie Prefecture, will reopen on April 29, 2025 (Tuesday) after renovation. In addition to improving the convenience of visitors to the historical site, the building, which is modeled after an ancient government office, will serve as a base for interaction between tourists and local residents, and we will develop various projects in the future. On the opening day, we will hold a children’s candy distribution event as a commemorative event. The role of the nationally designated historic site, Saiku Ruins and Itsuki Chaya The Nationally Designated Historic Site Saiku Ruins is the place where Saio, who served the Ise Grand Shrine in ancient times, lived, and is visited by many tourists due to its historical value. Itsuki Chaya has long been a popular place for visitors to historical sites to take a break and provide information. From 2020, Meiwa Kanko Shosha, a general incorporated association that promotes the preservation and utilization of historic Saiku ruins, has been entrusted with designated management operations, and “Itsuki Chaya” will make a new start. Through renovations, we will update the interior of the facility and aim to create a space that is more comfortable to use. A renewal open event was held. To commemorate the reopening, a commemorative event will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 29th.
