We will be holding a tabletop type mini tree workshop that you can make for one day only. Did you know that there is a photo spot in the lobby on the first floor of Umekoji Potel Kyoto with attractive flowers that change with the seasons? This time, we will welcome the flower designer Junko Doshita, who is in charge of the flower decorations, as a lecturer, and we will be holding a workshop that even beginners can easily try. In the workshop, we will use a 10-15cm Daio pine cone as a base on a Kitayama cedar stump An original Christmas mini tree. You can freely decorate with evergreen leaves, fruits, and ornaments to create a one-of-a-kind piece of work. You can also hang ornaments on the tree without a base. It’s fun and easy to make even for elementary school children, so parents and children are welcome to join in as well. Enjoy an exciting moment that uses all five senses and allows everyone to become an artist by freely combining materials. You can participate empty-handed. Flower designer/Junko Doshita For about 10 years, I was in charge of bridal decorations for famous hotels in Kyoto City and Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. After that, for 15 years, I was in charge of an average of 100 customers a year at a wedding hall and restaurant run by a costume company. Four years ago, she started “Saloronica” and has been working mainly at handmade markets in Kyoto City with the hope that people can enjoy flowers close to home.
