We planned and produced the experiential digital content “Space Tours” that was introduced in the new “Space Area” of the indoor children’s play area “Chikyu no Niwa Hanyu Store” that opened on Friday, July 11th at the Hanyu store. This content will be introduced in “Chikyu no Niwa”, which will open on Friday, July 18th at “Chikyu no Niwa Kohoku Store”, and more are scheduled to open in the future.

The theme of the tour is “Mars Tour”, and the children will depart from Earth, rise into space, and warp to Mars while listening to an explanation of the planets in the solar system. The stage is divided into three parts, and at the end, everyone joins forces to repel a large meteorite, fostering learning and cooperation in the story. This content creates a sense of unity and accomplishment because multiple people can play together while surrounded by immersive space images projected on three walls. In addition, in the space area, you can experience a “space-inspired scent” created by Promotool Co., Ltd. (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo) under the supervision of an astronaut.

We planned this Space Tours because we wanted to create a game that would allow children to use their five senses and become engrossed. The concept is a “zero gravity experience.” Rather than physical zero gravity, we aimed for an immersive experience where children can freely let their imaginations flow as they swim in space. Set in two areas, a spaceship and outer space, the experience is sprinkled with mechanisms that allow children from preschoolers to elementary school students to play and learn using their own sensibilities through glowing balls, animated images, music, and communication with characters and guide staff. We hope that this will be a memorable experience for both parents and children.
