Prefecture, CEO: Kazuyasu Yamaguchi), a group company of Nihon Unist Co., Ltd., has launched a project to renovate the vacant first floor store of the accommodation facility “Misono no Oyado (I)”, which it operates in the “Misono Shopping Street” in front of JR Wakayama Station, into an art gallery called “MISONO ART GATE”. Currently, we are seeking support funds through crowdfunding to make this project a reality. To realize this project, we plan to begin soliciting support on CAMPFIRE, one of Japan’s largest crowdfunding services, from Friday, July 4, 2025. ▼Project page (pre-release)

We opened “Misono no Oyado (I)” in November 2024 and “Misono no Oyado (Ro)” in February 2025, and currently operate two accommodation facilities in the Misono shopping district. While many people visit Wakayama through our accommodations, we have felt that “accommodation does not easily lead to sightseeing in the city” and “Wakayama’s charm is not being fully conveyed.” In fact, although Wakayama has a rich art and culture, there are only a limited number of places where you can experience them. There are more than 20 galleries scattered throughout the city, but the reality is that many of them are not well known. So we decided to launch “MISONO ART GATE” as the “gateway to Wakayama art.” Through this gallery, we hope to create an experience of touring the town through art and to convey the charm of the region more deeply. Proposal of a new style of tourism “MISONO ART In front of the Wakayama Art Gallery GATE, a local electric motorbike-type vehicle called the glafit NFR-01 Lite will be set up. Visitors can ride the glafit and freely explore the art galleries in the city. We propose a new style of tourism that allows you to casually explore the city while enjoying art. By enjoying travel and art appreciation together, we hope to create an experience that allows you to experience the entire city of Wakayama.
