nationwide, including “Kuse Fuku Shoten” and “St. Cousair”, will be holding its first relocation experience tour, “Cider, Starry Sky, and Morning Sun Breakfast in the Vineyard,” from Saturday, May 10th to Sunday, May 11th, 2025. (Organized by Iizuna Town, operated by Saint Cousair)

The tour took place over two days at the winery restaurant at St. Cousair Hill (1260 Imokawa, Iizuna Town, Kamiminochi District, Nagano Prefecture) and the winery’s own vineyard, Oiri Vineyard, and accommodation was provided in a log cabin owned by Iizuna Town. Three groups of five people from inside and outside Nagano Prefecture experienced the charms of Iizuna Town and St. Cousair Hill. Location: Saint Cousair Hill (1260 Imokawa, Iizuna-machi, Kamiminochi-gun, Nagano Prefecture) “Winery Restaurant Saint Cousair”, in-house vineyard “Oiri Vineyard” 3. Participants: 3 groups, 5 people 4. Accommodation: Log houses owned by Iizuna Town ≪Day 1 of the migration experience tour≫ After arriving in Iizuna Town, we participated in the Cider Garden 2025. For dinner, we enjoyed a course meal made with plenty of ingredients from Shinshu and Iizuna Town at the winery restaurant, paired with recommended wines. The main dish was “Charcoal-grilled Shinshu Pork with a sauce made with Fuji apples from Iizuna Town.” We enjoyed it with wine made from grapes harvested from the Chapel Vineyard, a vineyard that stretches out in front of the restaurant.

While listening to the guide, Mr. Satomi’s story, we were able to see the moon and Mars through the clouds while watching the stars. ≪Day 2 of the Migration Experience Tour≫ The next morning, we departed at 4am. In the darkness before sunrise, we headed to Oiri Vineyard, which is normally off-limits to the public. In the quiet morning hours, with only the chirping of wild birds echoing, we watched the sun rise between the mountains.

The guests were able to spend their time in the midst of nature, gazing at the new grape buds shining in the morning sun, listening to stories about the grapes and wine grown at Oiru Vineyard, and learning that the Farm Sauce is a commercialized version of a sauce that was popular at breakfast when the founders ran a pension in the Madarao Kogen. They were also able to enjoy a view of the Shiga Kogen Highlands from Oiru Vineyard.
