We also took pictures at “Chufuki Glass Studio Niji”, which was established in 1988 by Morikichi Inamine, a modern master craftsman of “Ryukyu glass” in Yomitan Village, and “Soshiju”, the workshop of Mieko Sunagawa, the creator of “Miyako Jofu”, which has been designated as an important intangible cultural property of the country. Using dynamic camera work, we captured the warmth and atmosphere of the people who are responsible for the traditional culture passed down in Okinawa, and the sounds that weave history, and weaved these together to depict the charm of Okinawa that cannot be expressed in words.
