After the baby sand tiger shark was born, we continued to monitor its health and other conditions in a backyard aquarium, and since we were able to confirm that it was growing well and eating food on its own, we have begun displaying it in the “Shark Sea 2” tank. In the exhibition tank, shark species such as the red hammerhead shark and the giant hammerhead shark, which are about 1 meter in length, the same as today’s babies, are on display, and you can watch them swimming together. Near the exhibition aquarium, there will also be a baby birth commemorative booth with stuffed animals and other items that allow you to experience the baby’s weight at birth. At one point, the baby suffered from poor swimming due to lack of buoyancy, but the caretaker, who used his experience to inject air into the baby’s stomach, recovered and started swimming energetically. There is no precedent anywhere in the world for a newly born gray crocodile to be injected with air to recover. He also showed some nervousness, such as overreacting to light, but we were able to gradually get him used to the environment by blocking out the surrounding light. Please watch over the future growth of the baby, who has overcome hardships and made his healthy debut in the exhibition tank.
