(Headquarters: Naka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Representative Director: Takenaga), through joint investment with six other companies. From April 1, 2025, Taro will become the designated manager of the Ibaraki Prefectural Botanical Garden and Ibaraki Prefectural Forest (located in Naka City, Ibaraki Prefecture), which is scheduled to reopen in November 2025 as Japan’s first “experiential overnight botanical garden.” On April 23, 2025, we paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Ibaraki to greet the start of designated management, and reported on the concept of the facility and future developments. By staying overnight, you will be able to observe plants at night, which you could not see before, and enjoy the atmosphere of the botanical garden in the early morning. We are also planning to light up the area, creating an extraordinary and soothing space where you can spend the night with the plants. In addition to this, we will also have a restaurant that uses ingredients produced in the prefecture, and a souvenir corner that sells special products from the prefecture, including the local Naka City.We hope that it will not only become a tourist spot for families from the metropolitan area on weekends and local residents on weekdays, but also attract new customers (such as educational institutions) who have not been interested in botanical gardens until now.We believe that this will also be an opportunity for them to experience the charms of plants and develop their learning and sensibilities. The facility logo uses shades of green to express the various plants, diversity, and individuality within the botanical garden, and by connecting the central motif with a single stroke, it expresses harmony and coexistence.
